The first time I ever touched a volleyball was back in 2006 at the age of 24. At 6'5", my previous sport of choice was basketball. But, once I picked up a volleyball, i was hooked! I actually met my wife at the beach while playing volleyball. Together, we used to spend hours at the beach each weekend with friends. I even had a volleyball and net shipped to me when I was deployed to Afghanistan so I could play with some of the locals. We just welded two poles to a couple of tires, hung the net, and rolled it out to the HLZ when helicopters weren't around.
So, here I am a few years older but with the same passion for the sport. The goal of this website is to give you as much information and resources to San Diego beach volleyball as I can—or at least point you in the right direction.
